| Mike Kvarnlov – Owner
Mike started working in the automotive business in Greenbush, Minnesota in 1973 when he was 21 years old. Through the years he has done everything from washing automobiles, cleaning the floor, selling automobiles, to signing paychecks. Mike and Cherlyn moved to Warroad in 1987 when he became Sales Manager for Dick and Rey Johnson, the previous owners. Mike purchased the dealership in 1999 and Lake Country Chevrolet Buick Pontiac was born. What Mike likes best about this business is the location. Warroad is a fabulous place to call home. Mike enjoys hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, sporting activities and Nascar. Mike and Cherlyn have been married since 1972 and share many wonderful times with their children, Jodee and Christopher, spouses Donn and Stacy and the best thing ever—their grandchildren. |
| Mark Genereux – Business Manager/Finance and Insurance Manager
Mark graduated from Bemidji State College with a degree in accounting. Originally from Brooks, Minnesota, Mark and his family moved to Warroad in l987 when he accepted the office manager position with Johnson Chevrolet Buick Pontiac. Mark has earned 22 years of “outstanding achievement” from the GM Business Accounting Managers Council. Mark and his wife Peggy have three children, Andrew, Pamela and Adam. Mark likes all kinds of pro sports—the Vikings, Twins and Nascar are his favorites. His family enjoys traveling as far as their vehicle will take them. Mark jokingly says that the best part about working at Lake Country Chevrolet Buick Pontiac is when Mike says, “let’s go home.” |

| Mark Engen – Body Shop and Parts Manager
Mark has been in the body shop business since he graduated from high school. Mark has been part of the Chevrolet Buick Pontiac dealership in Warroad longer than the boss. He has over 40 years of experience to bring to our customers. Mark is a GM Certified Body Shop Manager and has numerous other accomplishments. Mark is originally from Newfolden, Minnesota. He says he was a constant fisherman before he married his lovely wife Jeanine and that now he is a fisherman and a traveler. Mark and Jeanine have been married for 17 years. He has four children and five grandchildren. Mark and Jeanine spend a week every year at the Norsk Host Fest in Minot, North Dakota. Jeanine is one of the musicians and Mark is one of the helpers. He says he likes to carry the accordions. |
| Rod Pearson – Service Manager
Rod has lived in Warroad his entire life. In his 33 years at the dealership he has been certified in just about every aspect of the automotive business. Rod is a GM Certified Service Manager. He and his wife Joyce have two children, Sharon and Shawn and three grandchildren, Jena, Travis and Seth. Rod enjoys golfing and deer hunting. Rod says it doesn’t matter how many changes technology brings to the automotive industry, what he likes most about working at Lake Country Chevrolet Buick Pontiac is still the people—customers and co-workers. |

| Mark Johnson – Sales Manager
Mark has been in the automotive business most of his adult life. He joined Lake Country Chevrolet Buick Pontiac in 1999 and has been smiling ever since. Mark is very passionate about the automotive industry. He says he was drawn to the atmosphere at Lake Country, the way people were treated and the integrity of the business. Mark is a GM Certified Specialist in sales technology. Mark and his wife Carla were married in 1985 and live in Roseau, Minnesota. They have two sons, Brady and Brandon. They enjoy their lake cabin at Bemidji during the summer and spend their winters following the boys in hockey. Mark has enjoyed hunting and fishing for many years but is still in search of the big one! An interesting tidbit—Mark has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. |
| Dave Kragness – Sales Consultant
Dave is our retired principal and superintendent of Warroad High School. He joined our team in October 2006. Dave was born and raised in Halstad, MN. He started his career in Badger, MN in 1968, then to Newfolden, MN, on to Grygla, MN, back to Newfolden, MN and then to Warroad in 1989. Dave and his wife Jan have 3 children, Dave Jr., Jon and Andrea. Dave says his pride and joy are the seven grandchildren. Dave says he likes the opportunity to be involved in the "people" business here at Lake Country Chevrolet Buick Pontiac. His hobbies include horse racing, golfing and fishing. |

| Dave Larson – Sales Consultant
Dave has been selling automobiles since graduating from high school in 1979. Dave grew up in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota. Dave started working at Johnson Chevrolet Buick Pontiac in 1988. He is a GM Certified Specialist in sales technology. Dave is our “computer guru”—our expert on ordering all the new vehicles. General Motors has a very sophisticated vehicle order management system. Dave is one of the few people who have mastered this system. His commitment to detail and follow through is exceptional. He enjoys seeing new models, new technology and meeting new people. Dave and his wife Bernie have two children, Joe and Annette. In his spare time he likes to hunt and fish. Bragging rights include a 10 point buck shot in 1987 and a 9 pound walleye landed on Lake of the Woods in 1990. |
| Chris "Lumpy" Kvarnlov - Sales Consultant
Chris joined the team of Lake Country Chevrolet Buick Pontiac in July 2008 after moving back to Warroad. He graduated from Warroad High School in 1996 and from Concordia College in 2000. Chris and his wife Stacy have three sons, Kyle, Logan and Cody. They spent 8 years living in New Jersey in a town 40 miles from New York City. Chris enjoys rifle hunting (he has a trophy deer hanging on the showroom wall), bow hunting, fishing and golfing. But he says the best is when he’s with Stacy and "my three sons". Cherlyn helps out wherever she's needed. She's been known to deliver vehicles, help in the wash stall, number tools, vacuum, paint and wash walls, wash windows, cover for Dawn, help with other administrative duties, answer phones, plant flowers, mow, pick weeds and bring treats for her fabulous co-workers. Cherlyn's favorite part about working at Lake Country Chevrolet Buick Pontiac is that she gets to sleep with the boss. |
| Wayne Knutson – Body Shop Technician
Wayne has lived in Warroad and been with the dealership for more than 30 years. He is a GM Certified Specialist in body repair. He claims to have repaired just about everything. Wayne is one of our more studious employees. He is always going the extra mile to gain more product knowledge for his job. In 1995 and 1996 his testing was so superior that it earned him a position on the National Advisory Council located in South Carolina and Florida. Wayne and his wife Mary Jo have been married for over 30 years. They have two children and 3 grandchildren. In his spare time Wayne likes to hunt, fish and do target practice shooting. Wayne is proud of his military background; he served in the Army and the Army Reserves for 21 years. While in the military, Wayne participated in shooting competitions for 5 years. Wayne says he enjoys meeting people and working on all the varieties of automobiles. |
| |  | Vince Reed – Service Technician Vince is no stranger to the automotive business. He has been a service technician since l986. Vince joined the Lake Country team in 2000. He is a GM Certified Specialist in service technology. Vince is originally from Warroad and now lives by Salol, Minnesota. He enjoys spending time with his son Chad as well as riding snowmobiles and motorcycles. Vince says the best thing about working at Lake Country Chevrolet Buick Pontiac is talking and dealing with the customers and giving Rod grief.

| Ed Hartnell – Reconditioning Specialist
Ed joined Lake Country Chevrolet Buick Pontiac in 2002. This is our employee that gets every nasty job that no one else wants to do. He can make a used automobile look “almost new.” Ed has the time consuming job of removing all plastic from new vehicles and getting them ready for show. He is originally from Edina, Minnesota. From the time he was a small boy he has been coming to this area with his parents and says he is grateful for the opportunity to move to such a child friendly environment. Ed has a young son Brandon and they live by Roosevelt, Minnesota. He loves to hunt and to also play and watch hockey. Ed says he likes working at Lake Country Chevrolet Buick Pontiac because his co-workers all have great personalities that he can joke and kid around with. |

Dawn joined the Lake Country team in 1998. She has earned 5 years of “outstanding achievement” with the GM Business Accounting Managers Council. Dawn says she enjoys working at Lake Country Chevrolet Buick Pontiac because of the relaxed atmosphere and the nature of the people. Dawn is originally from the Bismarck, North Dakota area. Dawn and her husband Darrin moved to Warroad in 1998 when Darrin became manager of Warroad Pepsi. They have three children, Tayler, Kyle and Cole. They enjoy spending time together as a family and hitting the golf course. |
| William Peterson – Service Writer
Bill started at Lake Country Chevrolet Buick Pontiac in September 2006. He and his wife Gayle live by Salol and have three children, twins Jennifer and Christopher and Tony. Bill was born in Chicago, and then moved to Kansas and then back to Chicago, on to Wyoming and then Lake Bronson, MN where he graduated from high school. He went to college at Bemidji State. Bill served in the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart for injuries sustained there. Bill lost part of his foot. His hobbies include hunting and fishing and enjoying all his grandchildren. |

Dale started at Lake Country Chevrolet Buick Pontiac on August 31, 2009 11 days after he had celebrated his birthday. Dale was born in Natrona Pennsylvania and raised in West Deer Pennsylvania. He was employed in Greenville PA before moving to northern Minnesota in 2004. He was looking at land in the Clemenson area and he and wife Pearl ended up by Roosevelt, MN. Dale has a son (Dale Jr), grandson (Dale III) and a granddaughter named Kylie Renae. Dale is a General Motors Certified Master Automobile Technician. Dale has an engaging smile, quick wit and a long beard. |
| Anthony Brouse – Body Shop Technician
Tony joined our staff in June 2007. He is a certified Auto Body technician graduating from Northland Community College. He is a graduate of Baudette High School and lives by Williams, MN. Tony is the baby of the family. He and his wife Jenny have a little boy named Zack. His hobbies include fixing cars, hunting and fishing, but mostly, he said spending time with his family is the best thing there is. |

| Jared Kuznia – Service Technician
Jared joined Lake Country Chevrolet Buick Pontiac in July 2006. He was born in Columbus, Georgia and moved with his family to Warroad when he was the age of two. Jared has one sister and one brother. He is also single. His hobbies include "fixing anything" and fishing and he really enjoys tractors. Jared is working on becoming ASE Certified and said he likes the people that he works with. |
